You saved my life!

It isn't easy admitting that you have a problem with alcohol.  It isn't easy finding the right help either.  I struggled for so many years pretending that I was okay.  I could handle it.  truth is, no one can do this on their own. 

Four months ago it all came to a head.  A head on collusion with reality.  I was faced with felony charges, my health was failing and my life was a mess.  It was time to make a change.  A friend of mine told me about this service that would help you find the right treatment program.  Of course like many people I don't have insurance and no money.  My parents were eager to help me so I was lucky.  Outreach Services found me a program that fit me perfectly.  They were so understanding and nice to deal with.  I don't use a computer so I wouldn't have a clue how to find the right treatment center.  They made it so easy for me.  The rest was up to me.

After getting out of the center I have to say I look at life a lot different.  I know there will be bumps up ahead but I am confident my drinking days are over.

Thank you again Outreach Services for leading me into the right direction.

I just want to say Thank You so very much for all of your help and resources. I must have called a dozen referral places before I was blessed with you. None have even called me back as of yet. You really given us hope, direction, and encouragement when we were ready to have to figure out another option. I wasn't too sure of how my God sent non biological son was going to respond to some of those long, much needed programs. After researching the websites you gave me, He was actually feeling Empowered and like he had hope for a better future. I only hope his enthusiasm stays for a while...Or at least until we get him into one of the programs. You are an amazing woman with a heart for helping others. I know this only because I too have a similar one. Don't want to write a mini novel (Lol), but needed you to know that you are appreciated and a blessing from God.

I am writing to tell you and your staff that you all are the BEST! I wrote you earlier about my friend Barbara wanting and needing help and you went through channels to get her help….  We received the information you gave us and they have a bed opening today and are going to accept her into the program within the hour!  Thank you and God bless you for your unconditional support of people with problems and not giving up on them.

I just wanted to write in and talk about the owner of Outreach Services Debbie Norton.  I have known Debbie for almost 8 years and have personally witnessed in my own life as well as many others her dedication and compassionate heart for people struggling with addiction. 

I first met Debbie when entering a treatment program many years ago.  I was scared and lost and had nowhere left to turn.  She went over and beyond the normal call of duty to make sure I got the help I needed.  I truly believe my life changed as direct result of the hands stretched out to me on that day.   I worked with her then later in the field of addiction and witnessed her dedication in the lives of many other addicts and there families. 

She continues to strive towards reaching a greater public at Outreach Services and DARS. She has staff that follow in her footsteps to help families and addicts to find hope for a new and better life. 

I now have seven and a half years of sobriety and have experienced the miracles of recovery and I can’t say it would have turned out this way if God hadn’t placed Debbie Norton in my life many years ago.   Thanks Deb!
